  1. It is great to hear that Senator Ndoma-Egba thinks of including Universities in NDDC Region in future development plan. That is going to boost academic enhancement in the Universities especially in infrastructural upgrade.
With that goodwill in mind, the Colleges of Education in the region need a Macedonian handshake from NDDC as well. Foremost among the Colleges of Education is the Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State. The College is situate where the erstwhile Obudu County Secondary School used to be. It means therefore that most of the buildings in use in the College were inherited from the secondary school.
Buildings generally have a lifespan of 50 years and after that, it is ideal that restructuring becomes imperative to sustain the building and the lives of the occupants. If the proper thing is not done at the right time, some occupants will develop Sick-building Syndrome (SBS)and this adversely affects work output. It can affect students' performance in academics as well.
With the foregoing explanation, the Federal College of Education, Obudu, Cross River State appeals to NDDC to come to her aid in terms of infrastructural development. The College has been given the right to host the Nigerian Colleges of Education Games (NICEGA)come September, 2017. We are appealing to good-spirited Nigerians and sport lovers all over the world to assist the College to host the all important games successfully. NDDC, please assist FCE, Obudu if you can. Thanks.
