Breaking : Adah Declares For 2019 Governorship In Cross River

A former two times House of Representatives Member, Rt Hon Paul Adah has declared his interest to contest for the office of the Governor in Cross River State under the platform of the All Progressives Congress, APC in 2019.

Hon Adah made his intentions known when he hosted the seven chapter Chairmen, Local Government chairmanship Candidates and other party leaders from the Cross River State Southern Senatorial district.

The ex-lawmaker who is also a former Commissioner representing Cross River State in the governing board of the Niger Delta Development Commission said that he and his party, the APC were on a rescue mission to safe the state from the misrule of the Ben Ayade led administration.

Adah who hails from Obudu in the northern senatorial district of the state pledged that if elected he will do only a single four years tenure to complete north eight years and return power to the Southern in line with the zoning formula of the state.

While maintaining that the Civil Service in the state is grinding to a halt under Ayade, he noted that there was an urgent need to reposition the service to its proper shape.

According to him "I want to thank you all for honouring my invitation today. Let me officially inform you that I want to offer myself for service in 2019 as Governor. The Ayade led administration has destroyed the entire state that we need to come together for a rescue mission.

"As a man who spent over 20 years in the civil service, the condition of service I see today under Ayade is so disheartening. Civil servants are no longer sent out for trainings, offices that requires impress to work don't get anything again. This is why we need to rescue our people, reposition and put things in proper shape.

"For us, we believe in politics with real ethics not the fake ethics of deceits and lies we have now. Our interest is to do a four year single tenure where we will repair the colossal damages done to our dear state by Ayade and set the road map for the development of the state for an APC Governor from the South who will do 8 years from 2023".

The APC chapter Chairmen, local government candidates and other stakeholders who reacted expressed excitement over Hon Adah's aspiration saying that he has the political clouts and goodwill to unseat Gov Ayade.
