The Registrar of Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria, (MDCN), Dr Tajudeen Sanusi has expressed utmost satisfaction with the performance of the University in training of Students and observance of benchmark as set by the council.
Dr Tajudeen Sanusi made the commendation when he paid a courtesy on the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof Zana Akpagu.
Dr Sanusi who was represented by Assistant Registrar, Dr Enedjo Abdul said he was delighted to be in the institution to induct new members into the Medical Apex Regulatory body and appreciated the Management of the University for partnering with the Council to reduce the burden of manpower in the Medical sector.
Speaking, the Vice Chancellor, Prof Zana Akpagu said he was pleased with the laudable impressions of the University by the Registrar of MDCN.
Prof Zana Akpagu who was represented by the Deputy Vice Chancellor(Academic), Prof Uche Amalu said that the Management of the University will work very hard to maintain the standard already set and also improve in areas that requires attention.
He noted that Human lives are quite delicate and added that no effort will be spared in ensuring that the best and quality service cum training is offered.
The Registrar was accompanied on the visit by the Dean of Faculty of Medicine, Prof Victor Ansa, Deputy Provost, Prof Theresa Ekanem and the College Secretary, Mr Michael Monety.
