Reps Jarigbe Agom Reveals Stunning Secret About Duke Presidential, Imoke Guber Elections

Member representing Ogoja/Yala Federal Constituency, Hon. Jarigbe Agom

Member representing Ogoja/Yala federal constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Jarigbe Agom has revealed that he set up a support group, 'No Hiding Place' that donated an 18 seater bus to support former Cross River State, Donald Duke Presidential bid in 2017.

Hon. Agom also revealed that he bought former Governor Liyel Imoke's second term nomination form and got him nominated in Abuja before the form was submitted but was never appointed by that government.

The lawmaker who said this in a statement credited to him and circulating on social media was responding to allegations that he and other lawmakers from the Northern Senatorial districts of the state were bribing leaders from the zone with N10 million to get them endorsed for second term ahead of 2019 general elections.

Describing the allegation as lies and infantile campaign of calumny against him, the reps member said he does not need to bribe anybody for endorsement stressing that if his constituents were satisfied with his representation, he will be returned in 2019.

He advised perpetrators to express themselves openly if they have interest to run the election adding that the field was open for everybody.

According the statement titled "Hon. Jarigbe Agom reacts to alleged planned N10m bribery allegation", the lawmaker said he is where he is today because of hard and sacrifices and not bribes.

"I saw my photograph here and I thought it was necessary to clear the air on this issue. First of all, I will say that this is blatant lies, a figment of someone's wild imagination.

I want to take us back a bit: When Donald Duke was running for President in 2007, I set up a Support Group( NO HIDING PLACE) and I donated an 18 seater bus to him. I spent my resources. Was that a bribe for Party ticket? When Sen Imoke was running for a second term, we came together with some friends and set up Legacy Group. The Governor didnt spend a penny.

I personally went to Abuja to purchase his Governorship Form and got him nominated before submitting the form to him. Was that also a bribe? I never got appointed by that Govt when he won.

My people supported me to come and represent them in Abuja and if they are satisfied with my outing, they will give me a second term, God willing.

For those who have invested nothing and have been benefiting, don't compare yourselves to those who have grown through hard work, service & sacrifice. Please tell me the name of the person that can bribe Ayade.

This Campaign of Calumny is very infantile. The field is open and I will rather implore you guys to express yourselves properly", the statement reads.
