Board Appointment : Excited Erei people pledge support for Buhari's second term

Excited about the appointment of their son, as member of the Board of Peace and Conflict Resolution, the people of Erei Ise-mi-se nation in Cross River State have urged President Muhammadu Buhari to attempt a second term in office and continue in the revamping of Nigeria.

The pledged to support President Buhari through their votes during the 2019 polls and urged him to make his intentions known.                                                                   
Erei-Ise-mi-se community is located in Biase local government area of Cross River State and has a population of over 900,000 people.

The resolve to endorse President Buhari for a second term came after a general meeting of the community last Sunday.

They say their decision was greatly informed by the recent appointment of Rt Hon. Alex Ukam, a former House of Representatives member into the Governing Board of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution as well as on the achievements of the current government under President Buhari's watch.

They expressed appreciation to the president stating that together with Rt. Hon. Ukam they will reciprocate the gesture of the appointment by turning in their vote massively for the APC during the presidential polls.                                               

According to Mr. Charles Edadi Ekup, spokesman for the community , '' President Buhari has demonstrated in clear terms the political will and sincerity to fix Nigeria'' adding that '' he has to continue in office a second term in order to continue the good works of revamping the economy, promoting peaceful coexistence among Nigerians as well as addressing the issue of infrastructure deficit among others.''

Rt. Hon. Alex Ukam was recently announced as member of the Institute for Peace and Conflict Resolution in the recent board appointments among others announced by Mr. President.

The Erei people who cut-across three political wards with 17 clans, pledged their unalloyed loyalty and support for the APC led government of President Buhari following the appointment.

They also expressed deep appreciation with the achievements of the Buhari led government especially in the fight against corruption, security of lives and properties and the revamping of the economy.

''It’s for this reason and the recent appointment of one of our sons, Rt. Hon. Alex Ukam and others including Chief Ogban Ebok and Chief Edwin Usang into Federal Government Boards that we are urging that Mr. President should not hesitate a second term bid because we need to reciprocate the gesture through our massive support for him''.

Rt. Hon. Ukam, a former member of the House of Representatives is a leading light in the Erei Ise-mi-se nation in Biase,Cross River State.
