Dapchi Girls Release : Ndoma-Egba Hails FG

The Chairman of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Senator Victor Ndoma-Egba, SAN, has commended the Federal Government for the release and return of the schoolgirls abducted from Government Girls Science Technical College, Dapchi, Yobe state by Boko Haram.

Ndoma-Egba praised the prompt response of the Government which he said is a testimony to the commitment of the Buhari-led administration

The NDDC boss said this in a statement issued by his Special Assistant, Communications, Clara Braide.

The former lawmaker noted that the release is "another solid demonstration of the political will of the President Muhammadu Buhari-led APC administration to secure the lives of all Nigerians.”

"The release of the girls is a great  relief for all traumatised by the sad abduction. Insurgency especially in the North East is a big setback for education especially for the girl child whose empowerment is essential for the overall development of any society. Let all men and women of goodwill join the families of these young girls and the people of Dapchi in celebrating  their children's return", he said.

While expressing confidence in the administration's ability to improve the capacity and efficiency of Nigeria's troops to prevent such occurrences in the future, he reiterated that the "current administration is committed to securing the release of the remaining Chibok schoolgirls still held in captivity by Boko Haram".
