BREAKING : Duke appoints 24yr-old Brenda Effiom executive secretary of ELF

24 year old Girl child activist, Miss Brenda Effiom has been appointed as the new executive secretary of Efik Leadership Foundation (ELF).

The appointment which will be effective from August 1st, 2018 was announced in a statement signed by the Chairman, Board of Trustees (BOT), Richard Duke.

Duke stated in the statement "I’ll like to inform us that Ms Brenda Effiom has been appointed as the new Executive Secretary for the Efik Leadership Foundation (ELF) NGO. Her expected start date will be from 1st August 2018.

I believe her appointment shows our confidence in Youth Leadership Development. She has a strong pedigree in Volunteering and Social Entrepreneurship. Her passion and determination to succeed in the role showed each time she was grilled her about the role.

Brenda is a graduate of Mass Communication and is currently also doing her Masters degree in Mass Communication. She is also an ex-Broadcaster/Presenter with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC.

She has lots of experience in the Monitoring and Evaluation of programmes, Project Management and is a trained Programme Officer and Social and Community worker with lots of transferable skills from various NGO’s in the State.

Brenda will be working closely with the Board of Trustees (whom she reports to) and with the various sub-committees in order to carry out and deliver the strategic objectives of the ELF NGO.
