JUST IN : Police confirms PDP Reps aspirant abduction in Calabar

The Cross River State Police Command has confirmed that Engineer Jerome Egbe, People's Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for Abi/Yakur federal constituency was abducted by unknown gunmen in Calabar yesterday.

Responding to a text message sent yesterday by our reporter for Police reaction, the state Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Irene Ugbo confirmed the incident saying that they working on his release.

The shot reply reads "Confirmed. We are working on his release".

Recall that Fearless Reports had reported that Mr. Egbe was abducted at about 11am in a Mechanic workshop in Asari Iso Layout, Calabar yesterday by unknown gunmen.

At the time of filing this report, the abductors are yet to make contact with his family for possible ransom; a situation that has raised the suspicion that it was politically motivated.
