No amount of intimidation would make me back out - Freed abducted reps aspirant

Engr. Jerome Egbe

People's Democratic Party (PDP) aspirant for the Abi/Yakur federal constituency, Engr Jerome who was abducted by unknown gunmen recently has regained freedom.

Egbe in his first public statement since regaining freedom reaffirmed that no amount of intimidation would make him back of the race.

The former NANS President hinted in a private chat with our reporter that his ordeal was politically motivated as he was not asked for any ransom before his release but told to back out of the race.

Reacting on Facebook after his release, the former SUG President of CRUTECH maintained that he has gone too far to back out noting that no level of oppression can make him withdraw from the Reps contest.

According to him "l still want to reaffirm  my stand  that I'm still in the race; no amount of intimidation and oppression at this point, that would make me back out because he that is on the ground fear no fall again".

He added that "let the will of God be done on this struggle and not according to my own desire or will".

While commending his friends and well wishers for their show of solidarity, he said that "I want to use this medium to thank the Almighty God for his protection over my life".
