Adah mourns demise of C'River APC Chieftains, ex-minister

Two times former House of Representatives member, Rt. Hon. Paul Adah has described as shocking the sudden demise of the Obanliku state constituency House of Assembly APC candidate, Chief Godwin Takus, Barr Parabola and former Minister of Environment, John Odey.

Takus and Parabola, APC chieftains died in a ghastly motor accident on Friday along Markudi-Lafia highway while Odey was said to have died in Dubai after years of struggling with cancer.

Adah, a Chieftain of APC described their demise as a great loss to Cross River north and the entire state.

He said they were patriotic Cross Riverians who died at the time the state needed them most.

"The past few days have been black days for Cross River north and the entire state. It was shocking that we lost three of our illustrious sons in the space of just few days.

"Takus and Parabola were great progressives with so much potentials. They died at the time the state needed them most.

Just as we were still mourning their demise, we heard another bad news about the death of an elder statesman, Mr. John Odey. How this sad development happened so fast within days is shocking.

"I pray God to grant their families and well wishers the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss", he said.
