The University of Calabar (Unical) Faculty of Dentistry, Medical College has been adjudged the most equipped in the country.
A member of the National Universities Commission (NUC) accreditation team who were on accreditation visit to the University yesterday made the remarks in confidence.
He said that he was baffled by the quality of equipments the faculty have describing it as "the most equipped Dentistry Faculty in Nigeria"
The faculty has high quality twenty (20) dental chairs, ten (10) fanthom heads amongst other ultramodern equipments.
The Prof. Zana Akpagu led Senate of the University made Dentistry which previously was a department a faculty in 2016 with five departments.
The departments include: Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, Department of Child Dental Health, Department of Preventive Dentistry, Department of Oral Pathology and Oral Medicine, as well as Department of Restorative Dentistry.
