Popular TV Presenter Okan Peter bags award

Cross River born popular burgeoning TV presenter, Okan Peter has bagged The Bridge Leadership Foundation award of excellence for inspiring the youths through 'talking'.

The award was presented to him yesterday at the Main Bowl of Cultural Center even hall by the founder of the foundation, Sen. Liyel Imoke, immediate past Governor of Cross River State.

Okan, a native of Obubra local government area of the state is an On-Air-Personality (OAP) with the Cross River Broadcasting Corporation, CRBC.

The awardee who graduated from the department of Mass Communication, Cross River University of Technology in 2011 is also a professional Master of Ceremony who has anchored so many high profile events.

The anchor of the popular CAMPUSXTRA TV show who took to his Facebook wall to announce the award  thanked the foundation for the recognition even as he advised young people not to ever give up on their dreams.

He said that "The starting point of all achievement is desire. Work hard, dream big and never give up on whatever good thing you find doing, with desire and consistency, it will be noticed and rewarded. You never can tell who is watching you.

Today, The Bridge Leadership Foundation saw me worthy for an award, for inspiring young people through talking and was presented with an award.

It was presented by the immediate past Governor of Cross River State and founder of the foundation, H.E Sen. Liyel Imoke in the presence of the immediate past deputy Governor of CRS, Barr. Effiok Cobham and the present Commissioner for Education Cross River State, Obol Godwin Ettah".

He added that "This means a whole lot to me, thank you".
