BREAKING : Ayade approves employment of 1000 health workers

Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has approved the employment of no fewer than 1000 Health Workers into the state Primary Health Care Development Agency.

Director General of the agency, Dr. Beta Edu in a release said that the Governor has ordered speedy recruitment process so that successful candidates can be paid as early as January next year.

Edu said the employment was to fill the existing gaps in the Primary Health Care system, create more jobs for Cross Riverians and also improve on service delivery in primary health centers across the state.

She said the job opening is strictly for health workers and the eligibility criteria will be published on the link for application.

While warning applicants not to pay money to anybody for the employment, she warned that those cut paying money will be automatically disqualified even as she noted that those cut collecting money shall be prosecuted.

According to her "On no account should any member of the public give any money to anybody for employment in Cross River state Primary health care Development Agency. If discovered the applicant stands automatic disqualification and the perpetrators will be made to face the full weight of the law.

"The Cross River State Primary Health Care Development Agency is committed to a transparent process based on merit. This is Health Care and we cannot afford to play nepotism or politics with health"

She further said that "All applicants will go through Examination and interview. Successful candidates will be published online

All applications will be submitted online directly to the Agency, and applicants will be applying to work in specific primary health care facilities across the state, Where they will be bonded"

The DG who thanked the Governor for what she described as "gracious approval" added that "Sen Ben Ayade is committed to a revolution in the health sector"
