Ayade's endorsement by Etung Paramount Ruler was out of fear -APC

Etung Paramount Ruler, Ntufam Emmanuel Oru reportedly endorsing Governor Ben Ayade

The All Progressives Congress, APC  in Cross River State says Governor Ben Ayade's endorsement by Ntufam Emmanuel Oru, the Paramount Ruler of Etung where its candidate, Sen. John Owan Enoh  comes from was out of fear.

The party said Ayade's desperation in forcing endorsement of his candidacy and re-election bid on Traditional Rulers is the height of the delusion he has incurred for himself.

The APC in a veiled reaction to the purported statement credited to the Etung Paramount Ruler, Ntufam Emmanuel Oru that Sen. John Owan Enoh can't win elections said "Ayade is busy foisting a junk endorsement of his re-election on Traditional Rulers just to score cheap political points".

The statement signed by APC State Publicity Secretary, Mr. Bassey Ita added that if Ayade had record of performance speaking for him he won't be needing endorsement from anybody for his reelection bid.

"This is infantile politics, and let us remind him that the telephone interview with the Etung Monarch was borne out of fear in all ramifications".

The same man endorsing Sen. John Owan Enoh of APC fed days after endorsing Ayade.

"If the Governor had his performance record speaking for him, they would be no need struggling for endorsement from those whose role in politics are only advisory."

"The Etung Monarch and his Colleagues can now see the ambush in Ayade's Car gifts. It's also ambush to call the Paramount Ruler who had in truth and sincerity endorsed his 'son' Sen. Owan Enoh as the next Governor of the state for his capacity and strong sense of character to take Cross River out of the woods", the statement reads in part.

It furthered that "Ayade was into some hypnotism or is in a grand delusion to believe that the Etung people will abandon their illustrious son and support him".

"We are not surprised at Ayade's desperate search for adoption. He'll believe anything and everything at this point because he is himself  deception personified,so he won't mind being told a story provided that looks like reality".

The APC appealed to Cross Riverians to "insist on changing the sad narrative of our state by voting out this government of deception".
