Owan Enoh aide lied, I never said Ayade won't be Governor beyond 2019 - Jedy

Former Group General Manager, Commercial, Crude Oil Marketing Division of NNPC, Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR has rebuffed statement credited to him by Sen. John Owan Enoh, factional governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State social media aides and making the round on social media concerning the forthcoming governorship elections.

Prince Jedy who hails from Obudu local government area as Gov. Ben Ayade was alleged to have said that "Ayade is our brother but there's nothing we can do to keep him beyond 2019."

But in a rejoinder issued by Comrade Ifere Paul, his Personal Assistant and Special Adviser, Media and Publicity to Godilogo farmed owned by him, Jedy said Owan Enoh aide lied as he never made such statement.

Jedy said that he enjoys cordial relationship with both Ayade and Enoh therefore wish them well in their ambition.

"My attention has been drawn to a post making round on the social media. The post which was made by Justin Obongha, a media assistant to Senator John Owan Enoh, governorship candidate of the APC was credited to Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR, Dan Jarin Nupe.

According to Justin Obongha, Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, had said that "Ayade is our brother but there's nothing we can do to keep him beyond 2019."

I want to say categorically that, Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR, Dan Jarin Nupe, has never issued such a statement to anyone or the press.

Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR, enjoys a cordial relationship with Senator John Owan Enoh and Prof Ben Ayade both of them are candidates for the APC and PDP respectively", the statement reads in part.

The statement further added that "While my principal wishes both of them well in the coming elections, he will never make utterances that will suggest that he prefers one candidate over the other.

I therefore will advice the general public to desist from believing all they read on the social media. This should also serve as a warning to Justin Obongha and other media assistants from making mischievous statements about Prince Goddy Jedy-Agba, OFR, Dan Jarin Nupe.

I will also advice Justin Obongha to make a rebuttal so as to not discredit the person he represents".
