Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, (UNICAL), Prof. Zana Akpagu has recorded another landmark as the University Microfinance Bank Limited, UMFB has won the 2018/2019 best Nigeria Microfinance Bank award.
The award was presented by the National Association of Microfinance Banks in Nigeria, NAMB at the 2019 Annual Microfinance Banking Conference and Awards held in Abuja on the 19th of July 2019.
The Unical Microfinance Bank was rated the best MFB, consistent with Revenue.
Recall that under the leadership of the multi-award winning administrator, the University has won several awards such as the best University in the Use of Social Media, best in utilisation of Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Tetfund among others.
Also, under his administration, the bank has oponed new branches across the state which has in turned improved it's revenue.
