Cross River State governor, Senator Ben Ayade is set to make appointments, promising to reward loyal party members who delivered their polling units.
In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Ita, the appointments will in large part be based on results posted by the party in the just concluded elections at all levels.
This is in keeping with the Governor's promise during the campaigns to reward loyal party members who work hard to ensure the party’s victory at the polls.
Consequently, the Governor has directed the state chairman of the party, Ntufam Inok Edim, members of the state working committee of the party, the Director-General of the PDP Campaign Organisation, His Excellency, Mr Efiok Cobham and former Senior Special Adviser on Political Matters, Ntufam Peter Ojei to meet with chapter and ward chairmen of the party as well as local government coordinators.
The purpose of the meeting is to develop a time-table of engagement with His Excellency on how to engage with each local government.
