Unical to train, mentor Corp Members on Lecturing

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu says the institution would continue to support the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) in the training and mentoring of Corp members on lecturing.

Prof. Akpagu stated this when the State Coordinator of NYSC paid a courtesy call on him in his office.

The University helmsman, who described the NYSC as a ‘critical stakeholder’, said the institution would take it upon itself to train and mentor graduates with high intellect on the act of lecturing.

While promising to explore other areas of partnership with the NYSC, he expressed delight with the smooth relationship existing between the institution and the NYSC, saying his administration is poised to sustain the relationship for mutual benefits.

The Vice Chancellor said, ‘’Our doors are always open for you, because we see you as a critical stakeholder, and for this reason, we would do our bit to support the scheme especially on training and mentoring"
