Cross River State Governor, Sir Ben Ayade has been nominated as the Leadership Newspaper Governor of the year for 2019 and is to receive the award on Thursday, March 19, 2020 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja.
In a statement issued by the Special Adviser, Media and Publicity and the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Mr. Christian Ita, the event is billed for 9am.
Explaining the choice of Governor Ayade, Managing Director of Leadership Group limited , Mr Muazu Elazah, said that he was chosen for igniting an industrial revolution in Nigeria
In his words, "Governor Ayade has through his Industrialization giant strides, positioned Cross River State on the pedestal of Sustainable Economic Growth".
All well meaning Cross Riverians were advised to turn out at the event to celebrate "this achiever, the enigma, whose Midas touch, has transformed our dear state".
