Forum begs PDP NWC to uphold Ayade's decision on chapter, ward executives

The Chapter Chairmen of the People's Democratic Party recognised by the state executive committee under the aegis of Forum of PDP Chapter Chairmen in Cross River State have reaffirmed their support and loyalty to Governor Ben Ayade.

The group's reaffirmation was contained in a communique issued after a meeting held yesterday, May 6th at the Naks Hotel, Calabar and attended by seventeen out of the eighteenth Pro-Ayade chapter Chairmen.

The Forum appealed to the National Working Committee (NWC) of the party to uphold the decision of the Governor and recognise the ward and chapter executives loyal to him.

They maintained that  as the leader of the party, Ayade's position "reflects the outcome of the ward and local government Congress conducted in the state on the 7th and 21st of Mach 2020 respectively, which is in compliance with the party's Constitution".

They also appreciated the  Governor for his "dynamic and people oriented leadership qualities, which has solidly placed our dear state in the map of industrialized States".

The Forum further lauded the Governor "for his consistency in finding the party, broad based leadership and provision of appointment for numerous party faithfuls".

On the fight against COVID-19, the group  applauded Ayade for ensuring that the state remains free of the virus.
