Cross River born Lawyer, Hon. Koko Dan has intervened in the face-off between publisher of online news site, CrossRieverwatch, Agba Jalingo and Chairman of the Bakassi Estate Allocation Committee, Dame Senator Florence Ita Giwa, appealing to them to eschew all bitterness and embrace peace.

In a statement made available to Fearless Reports, the Lawyer who is also a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress, APC appealed to Ita Giwa fondly called "Mma Bakassi" to drop the legal threat against Agba as he is like a son to her.

Recall that Agba and the former senator have been at loggerhead over the allocation of the recently commissioned Bakassi Estate built by Gov. Ben Ayade for the displaced people of Bakassi.

While Agba has made several allegations against her in different posts on social media media, the highly respected veteran Politician has issued different counter statements to clear the air.

Angered by some of the allegations which is already in public domain, the cerebral Ita Giwa has threatened to drag Agba to court for defamation if his claims are not substantiated or public apology tendered.

But reacting to the issue which has been trending on social media in the past few days, Dan who was the candidate of APC for Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku federal constituency in the last general elections has appealed to her to sheathe her sword and allow Agba to learn from her experiences and not her fury.

According to the statement, "Mama Giwa, you are an experienced leader. You are a Wife, Mother, Grand Mother and as such a mother to the entire Cross Riverians by virtue of your services to the state and compassion for your people.

I understand how enduring it has been with you for the past twenty one years seeing your people and your ancestral home (Bakasi) taken over as a result of modernized compass of identifying boundaries and resettlement.

Being all that you have mentioned makes you a great sacrificer and your passion for human race and her equal existence are clearly identified.

My Dear Senator, journalism as you know appears in several portions . Its a global media phenomenon. Of late, presenters of big screen reports events untold. In other variation, stories don't represent facts or fiction in a balanced line all the time. " We just admit and move on"

You have been a subject of attraction to the media since in your twenties. My father flew with you in the 70s .He got to Obudu and will never stop talking about the fanfare your presence retained at the Lagos Airport. " Madam thank God that you still attract that media fanfare even in your 70s"

Being Ita Giwa, we shall continue to propagate whatever will trigger your engagement to the public. We are enjoying having you around and we admire you a lot how at your age you cat walk in a 12 inches high heels".

He added that, "Senator, I am from Obudu proudly. I am not sure the optimism and hope you share is different from mine or any other Obudu indigenous politician. Like you said, this is not an Obudu local politics. Do not generalize. The word Obudu local politics appears too typical. You are next to Mary slesor the different is just the skin colour.

It's too little for you to undermine all you have given back to the society at this time to think of instituting a legal suit against your own son whom you  have sacrificed everything you have to give  freedom ( Freedom of the press) Mama Giwa, Let Agba Jalingo learn from your experience and not your fury".
