BREAKING : Buhari appoints Federal Commissioner From Cross River

President Muhammadu Buhari has reportedly approved the appointment of popular Cross River State All Progressives Congress, APC Chieftain, Chief Utum Eteng and others as Commissioners in the Federal Hydro Electric Regulatory Commission.

The name of Chief Eteng and seven others sent by the President for confirmation was read on the floor of the Senate today. 

The Commissioner nominee also confirmed his nomination in a telephone chat on Tuesday.

Eteng, a legal practitioner had previously served as a Member of the Presidential Constitution Review Committee set up by President Buhari in his first tenure and headed by Sen. Ken Nnamani.

He is a foundation member of APC who has in many occasions offered the party his professional services as Lawyer, pro-bono.

The Yakur born politician is popular for his strong opposition against the policies of the People's Democratic Party (PDP) government in the state.

Chief Utum Eteng

He was highly commended by many party members for his rule in addressing the crisis which brewed the APC in the state for more than three years.

Regarded a one who doen't compromise the truth, Eteng has always fought for the APC and is not scared of taking on any leader who he sees as going astray.
