APC Registration : Our Doors Are open For Even 200 Million Nigerians - Minister

Honourable Minister of State for Power Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR, flanked by the State Secretary and State Publicity Secretary briefing the press at the new party secretariat. 

The Honourable Minister of State for Power, Goddy Jedy Agba, OFR has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC has not put any barrier to the number of people to join the party, insisting that even 200 million people would be welcomed.

Agba stated this on Saturday, in Calabar when his visited some registration centres in Cross River Southern Senatorial district as part of his inspection /membership drive tour in the State.

Recall that on Thursday, the Minister launched a campaign in his native community in Obudu Local Government are of the state after revalidating his membership of APC to encourage more people to join the party.

On Friday, (yesterday), the Minister, in company of the former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Pastor Usani Uguru Usani and other party stalwarts joined him in Ikom, Cross River Central to inspect the exercise as well as encourage more people to register with APC.

The Minister completed the exercise today with a to some registration points in Calabar Municipal Council where he also inspected ongoing renovation in the new state secretariat of the party, located along Ndidem Usang Iso road, opposite Okona filling station, Calabar.

Speaking, the Minister said that "APC belongs to all of us and that's why I'm here today to see what we're doing. So far, I'm impressed with what I've seen across the State but like Oliver Twist, I want to encourage us to do more. 

"We don't have limit on the number of people to register. Our doors are widely opened for more people to join. Politics is a game of number and party exist to win elections. The only way to win elections is to increase our membership strength". 

While speaking about his motivation to go round the state, he said that "Ordinarily, I would have gone quietly to my ward to register but I decided to do it differently by visiting all the three Senatorial districts to encourage more people to accept and see APC as the best option for us as a people. 

As a state, we have benefited so much from the President Buhari led APC government and for us to stand a better chance to ask for even more, we need to register so that during elections, we can vote massively for the party to have the grounds to make more demands". 

Similarly, Pastor Uguru, former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs has called on APC members to mobilize people to join the party.

Usani  said that, "Our Honourable Minister is doing what no other Minister is doing. He is moving from one Senatorial district to another to inspect the regulation/revalidation exercise as well as encourage more people to join. We need to support his efforts by mobilizing more people to join ".
