Foundation Fetes Underprivileged Children To End Of Year Party

A Non-profit Organisation, International Family Foundation, (IFF) on Saturday held an elaborate end-of-year/Christmas party for some underprivileged children in Abuja.
The party which held at Littlemates Park, Binji close had over hundred children living with different caregivers and orphanages in the fedeal capital territory.
As part of the event, the children carried out a few interactive quiz competition with the winner, Miss Hope getting one full year scholarship.
Speaking, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees, Abuja Chapter, Mr. Osakue Azonabor said that the event was part of the foundation's effort to make the less fortunate in the society feel cared for.
He said that the foundation has carried out other programmes within the year but decided to end the year with a party for the children to also have fun like other children living with their biological parents.
Aznabor maintained that the IFF was established to cater for the less privileged in the society, saying that the foundation has precisely been involved in provision of food items, clothing, education, amongst others to some select people in Abuja.
While urging other well meaning Nigerians to look into the plights of the underprivileged, he noted that as part of efforts to curb the menace of bullying in schools in the country, the foundation from next year will embark on sensitization exercise to educate people on the danger of bullying.
In his words, "IFF is a non-profit organization that's committed to reaching out and helping the underprivileged people in the society. Our focus is not just children. We're also reaching out to adults who really need help.
Our objective is to help people out of poverty, by supporting people to start up businesses, sponsoring people to schools, providing clothing, amongst others.
We've been involved with alot of activities since the launch of the organization. We decided that to give these kids that feeling of love and care, we should create opportunity for them to come out and have fun like others ".
The celebration climaxed with the children being given different packages including cartons of noddles, money, writing materials, etc.
