BREAKING : UNICROSS Alumni President, Abeng Re-elected PENGASSAN Chairman

The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association (PENGASSAN) , Lagos Zone has re-elected Comrade Eyam Abeng, President of University of Cross River Alumni Association as its Zonal Chairman for the next three years.

The election and immediate inauguration took place at the 7th Triennial Delegates Conference held on Tuesday April 18 at Park Inn Hotel, Abeokuta, Ogun State.

About eighty (80) delegates from different branches of PENGASSAN in Lagos zone participated in the conference.

Announcing the Results, the Returning Officer, Comrade Wale Ajayi, a
Principal General Secretary of PENGASSAN Kaduna Zone, declared Abeng unopposed and returned elected; after no further nominations was made for the office of the Zonal Chairman.

Delivering his acceptance speech, Abeng thanked members of the Association for the "honour, support, trust and confidence repose on me by re-electing me to continue adding value to the Association".

While assuring members of the zone of his best to improve and consolidate on the achievements of his first tenure, he pledged to continue to advance  the issues of members' welfare and job security. 

Abeng thanked the National President of PENGASSAN who doubles as the Trade Union Congress (TUC) President, Comr. Festus Osifo, Elders of the Zone, Branch Chairmen and all members for the support.
