KJ Agba Bags Chieftaincy Title In Bekwerra
Prince Kimbah Joseph Jedy-Agba (KJ) was on Saturday September 7 ,2024 conferred with the chieftaincy title of 'Ushi Inung 1' (Doer of good things) by the Traditional Ruler Council of Bekwerra local government led by the Paramount Ruler, His Royal Majesty, Linus Ogbeche Odey.
The ceremony, held as part of activities to mark the 2024 New Yam Festival celebrations in Bekwerra Local Government, aimed to honour outstanding individuals who have made significant sacrifices for the development and progress of the local government, as noted by the Paramount Ruler.
Ogbeche, while noting that the title holds great importance, as KJ is the pioneering recipient in the local government's history, encouraged him and the fellow awardees to embrace this distinction as a catalyst to perpetuate their exemplary conduct and dedicate themselves to the upliftment of the local government.
Reacting to the gesture, KJ revealed that he's not one for titles and has declined numerous offers of chieftaincy titles from various traditional institutions in the past. However, he chose to accept this particular honour due to its significance.
He expressed his delight that his humble endeavours to improve the lives of others have been acknowledged by a venerable and esteemed institution like the Bekwerra Traditional Rulers Council, even though he currently holds no political office.
The 'Ushi Inung1' of Bekwerra pledged that the recognition would motivate him to redouble his efforts in supporting those in need, in any way he can, while expressing his gratitude to the council and the paramount ruler for bestowing this honor upon him and a select few.
