Akpanke Announces Free Transport for Students Heading to Calabar

In a continued show of support for students welfare, the member representing Obudu/Bekwarra/Obanliku Federal Constituency, Rep Peter Akpanke, has approved free transportation for students of tertiary institutions in his constituency traveling to Calabar.

The initiative provides two dedicated buses for each of the three local government areas, Obanliku, Obudu, and Bekwarra for cost-free travel for students returning to or visiting the state capital. 

In, Obanliku the pick up location is in Sankwala Junction, Amunga and the contact to reach is. 08066533843 in, Obudu students are to board at MRS Fuel Station, Obudu, with 08162574450 as the contact number. In Bekwarra, the designated pick up location is Unbeatable Fuel Station, Abuochiche, while the contact number is 08168644225

The buses are scheduled to depart on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at exactly 6:00 AM. 

This latest gesture is the most recent in a series of interventions by Hon. Akpanke aimed at easing the financial and logistical burdens faced by students.
