Tinubu Appoints Former C’River APC Legal Adviser to OGFZA Board
President Bola Tinubu has approved the appointment of Barr. Emmanuel Aplife Adie, former Legal Adviser of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, to the Governing Board of the Oil and Gas Free Zones Authority (OGFZA).
The Board, Chaired by Mrs. Lydia Kalat Musa, was jointly inaugurated on Friday in Abuja by the Honourable Minister of State for Industry, Trade and Investment, Sen. John Owan Enoh, and the Honourable Minister of Industry, Trade and Investment, Dr. Jumoke Oduwole.

Other members inaugurated alongside Barr. Aplife and the Chairman are; Mr. Ikechukwu Onyemekara, Hussaini Ishaq Magaji, Engr. Frank Onyebu, Engr. Dr. Jani Ibrahim, Mr. Etido Thomas Usoroh, Mr. Augustine Uchechukwu Kalu, Mr. Joseph Yilwa and Dr. George Nwangwu.
The Honourable Minister of State, Sen. Enoh, in a statement personally signed by him and shared on his verified Facebook page, said, “This moment matters, because our oil and gas free zones sit at the heart of Nigeria’s industrial ambition, and strengthening their governance is essential if they are to function as true engines for investment, production growth, and exports.”

He added that the OGFZA, established under the Oil and Gas Export Free Zone Act, carries a clear national responsibility and at the current stage of the nation’s economic reforms and the implementation of the National Industrial Policy, the expectations are that the zones must deliver productivity, deeper value chains, quality jobs, and stronger global competitiveness.
While reiterating the Federal Government’s commitment to predictable regulation, disciplined governance, and effective oversight, so that free zone incentives translate into real growth for the economy, he emphasized that investment attraction, project execution, regulatory certainty, and measurable economic value must define their work.
The Minister congratulated the Chairman and members of the Board while expressing his anticipation for tangible results that expand exports, create jobs, and strengthen Nigeria’s position as a global production hub.
