Obla Welcomes Senator Owan Enoh To APC

The Special Assistant to President Muhammadu Buhari on Prosecution, Barrister Okoi Obono-obla has welcomed Senator John Owan Enoh, the Senator representing the Cross River State central senatorial district to the All Progressive Congress, APC.

Senator Enoh officially defected from the People's Democratic Party, PDP to the APC on Saturday, April 22 in his ward in Etung local government area of the state where he signed the party's register.

Obla who many have insinuated that would not support the defection of the Senator for the alleged feud between the duo over his non confirmation as a Non-Executive Commissioner of the Nigerian Communication Commission, NCC, took to his Facebook wall to congratulate and welcome the Senator to APC.

Accoronding to the statement, "Politics is intriguing, confounding, fascinating, pulsating and amazing! It is a game for the intelligent and smart!

One American academic defines " politics" as the authoritative struggle by competing and contending forces in society for control of scarce resources!

Yet another American Political science defines " politics " as who get what,when and how!

On Monday, Distinguished Senator John Owan Eno, Chairman of Finance Committee, Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria sent a message through a common friend, Hon. Ben Inah that he wants to visit me in my home in Abuja ! Truly, Senator Owan Eno came to my home in the leaf neighboring of Katampe extension at about 8pm on Tuesday!

I have known Senator John Owan Eno and his wife since 2001 ! He is an Etung man! Culturally, ethnologically and traditionally, I regard ( as Yakurr/Ekoi person) every Etung man as my brother ! I heartily welcomed Senator Eno to my home and after exchange of pleasantries and warm courtesy ,he told me of his intention to defect to my Party from PDP today in his Ward in Etung Local Government Area!

I welcome wholeheartedly and heartily Senator John Eno into the APC!

 I am exceedingly glad the Central Senatorial District of Cross River State ( where I belong) now has a representative in the Senate who has so much experience and nation wide network and contact!

We are all  working towards achieving and actualization of the same developmental goals for our people, State and country !

I also offer a hand of friendship, fraternity, cooperation and partnership to Senator John Eno, whom I like and respect so much!

He has made a good career as an excellent Parliamentarian after a stint in the academics!

Political partisanship and differences should never cut the umbilical cord of friendship, humanity and brotherhood no better what! One love".
