An All Progressives Congress Chairmanship Aspirant in Boki Local Government Area of Cross River State, Mr. Cosmas Nandi-Esom has declared his development blueprint if elected Council Chairman in the forthcoming Local Government elections slated for June 17.
In a four page document, captioned '' My Manifesto'', Mr. Nandi-Esom said his mission for being the council boss is driven by the divinely - orchestrated passion to rebuild and restore the lost glory of Boki by re-engineering both human and structural development of the area in line with global best practices and demand.
He remarked that it is unfortunate that Boki's story is not of astronomical growth even with the reputation of the blessing of a huge human capital base, the largest council area with a huge political and economic strength.
According to him, this indicators account for why the local government area exist only in nomenclature and not in value since the aforementioned potentials have not greatly impacted on the political economy of the area and in it its relations with other areas.
Nandi-Esom however said that hope lies in the vision and determination to redeem the area from the situation through an all inclusive government, projecting a progressive agenda to achieve massive tangible results.
''There's hope however that we have reached the point of positive change and at that point there's no challenge that is insurmountable when the will of the people is positively channeled. ''
The APC Chieftain marshaled out a 9 point development agenda which include Education, Social Amenities/Infrastructure , Youth Empowerment and Women Empowerment.
Others he mentioned in the document are massive support for the traditional institution to make it a truly vibrant engine for conflict resolution and custodians of heritage and values. Security, Agriculture, Health care and the revival of sound cultural values to shape the orientation of the people.
While appealing for the massive support of Boki people to actualize the vision and mandate ,Mr. Nandi-Esom also said '' when voted into office, the key areas aforementioned will occupy the front burner consideration along with others of instant popular demands. ''
