Ayade Performance In Two Years, Worst Ever In C'River History-APC

The opposition All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State has said that the performance of Governor Ben Ayade in two years is the worst ever in the history of the state.

The State Acting Chairman of the party, John Ochala who said this in Calabar while speaking with newsmen said Cross River was drifting backward under Ayade.

Ochala said that Ayade has demonstrated clearly that the only policy trust of his administration is lies and deceits adding that it was the first time in the history of the state that a Governor was looking for what to commission after two years in office.

He maintained that Ayade has given the party every reason to takeover power in 2019 from the People's Democratic Party as it was clear that the Governor hadn't any plan of leading but looting the state.

According to him, "I feel so ashamed must times that I'm a Cross Riverian. This is the first time in the history of this state that in two years, a Governor is looking for projects to commission. Umahi in Ebonyi commissioned over 43 roads among other projects in two years. Ayade has been crying of allocation but Ebonyi even earn less.

"Cross River is drifting backward under Ayade. Lies and deceits are the only viable policy direction of the administration. Ayade has destroyed everything he inherited from previous administrations in two years; security, serene and clean environment, peaceful nature of the state and in fact everything".

The APC Chairman played down on the commendation of the Ayade's administration by the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo during a visit to the state recently.

"What people don't understand is that the Acting President was not in the state in the instance of the state government. It was part of his routine meeting with elders and stakeholders from the South South region. It's part of the APC led administration programs to address the challenges in Niger Delta.

"The Acting President may have fallen victim of the lies of Ayade but it has not changed the reality on ground because Cross Riverians know Ayade and his cluelessness more than him therefore would judge him base on his performance not commendation by anybody.

"Has the commendation changed the fact that Ayade didn't commission single government owned project in two years? Has it changed the fact that the much talk about so called Garment Factory is a privately owned company with Cross River having just 30% shares? Has it changed the fact that the Calabar Pharmaceutical company is undergoing registration now as a privately owned company?", he asked.

Speaking about the recommissioning of the monorail and international conference centre constructed by previous administrations, Ochala accused Ayade of living in a dreamworld as well as taking Cross Riverians for granted.

He said that "You can see clearly that apart from the comedy by Ayade, he has added another thing to his cap of incompetence. He's living in a dream world and I think he has little or no regard for Cross Riverians because I don't understand why he had recommissioned projects done by previous administrations and credited himself for them.

"Imoke had commissioned the monorail which Donald Duke started. The conference centre is where Ayade himself was inaugurated; so why the recommissioning?

During his first hundred days and one year in office he commissioned the same monorail which was about the second time. Honestly, Ayade's abysmal performance is a shame to the state because we have always been known for producing some of the best governors in Nigeria".

Ochala called on the Governor to sit up, be focus and stop playing on the intelligence of Cross Riverians as the remaining two years will be a defining moment in his political career.

"We don't wish Ayade to fail because if he succeeds Cross River will succeed. Therefore APC urge him to sit up and be more focus. He should be more realistic in his approach to governance and stop building all his programs and policies around lies and deceits".
