APC Stakeholders want Minister replaced.

Sen Udo Udoma, Minister of Budget and National Planning
Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Akwa Ibom state recently in Uyo expressed fierce concern for the replacement of Budget and Planning Minister, Senator Udoma Udo Udoma over what they describe as his utter neglect of the party in the state.

Senator Udoma was accused of not yielding to party concerns and gross neglect.

Speaking during the meeting between the south south zonal body of the APC and the stakeholders early this week, the stakeholders argued that the Minister was not qualified to be in office having not met the constitutional requirements of being a party member to be in such an office.

Stating that Udoma was not a member of any political party, the APC chieftains maintained that all entreaties to woo the Minister do the party's bid have been rebuffed.

They however urged President Muhammadu Buhari to consider dropping Udoma and replacing him with a party man or woman who will add value to the party's quest for elections victory at any point in time.

Earlier state Chairman of the party, Dr Amadu Atai had enumerated some of the challenges faced by the party to include funding, delay in implementing the various empowerment programmes for party members, hijack of social safety nets and other programmes of the Federal Government in states controlled by PDP, security of party members during elections among others.

National Vice Chairman (south south) Ntufam Hilliard Eta who presided over the meeting assured that the zonal body will seek the attention of the party's hierarchy and the presidency to intervene in some of the issues.
