Isabella Ayuk preaches peace, says Nigeria's unity not by mistake

The ex-Nigeria's top beauty queen gave this address in Calabar at the weekend during the 2017 edition of Cross River Most Beautiful Girl, CRMBG pageant, an event she founded shortly after her reign as Most Beautiful Girl.
She said: "our Country presently is polarized along tribal, ethnic and religious lines"
"God in His infinite mercy did not make mistake by putting together all tribes with our religious differences in a Country called Nigeria. God must have good reasons for doing so," Ayuk said.
"What else can we say about the ripple and cyclical effect of an Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa, Idoma and Calabari girl just to mention but a few tribe?"
Ayuk urged that "such dangerous trend should not be allowed to fester."
As her own contribution to Nigeria's unity Ayuk said CRMBG decided this year to consider “YEAR OF BUILDING BRIDGES ACROSS DIVIDE THROUGH BEAUTY” as its theme, and expanded the contest to accommodate girls from other states of Nigeria, even as she calls on other pageants and colleagues in the entertainment industry to continue to promote Nigeria's indivisible unity.
According to Ayuk, "our apt contributions through this year’s Cross River Most Beautiful Girl (CRMBG 2017) is to make every Nigerian Girl that have shown interest in this year’s Pageant to be proud of one Nigerian spirit as provided by the greatest tourism destination in Africa, CROSS RIVER STATE."
Urging others to borrow a leaf from Cross River, Ayuk said "We urge you to make reference to BELLES SABELL MODELLING AND GROOMING AGENCY and the entire Cross Riverians where the good seed of love to one another was planted."
This years CRMBG contest saw Christine Edet, 19 as winner of the 2017 edition.
