C'River 2019 Guber : Paul Adah's Ambition Excites APC

Ogoja APC members during Hon Paul Adah's consultation
The Governorship aspiration of the former Commissioner representing Cross River State in the governing board of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Rt Hon Paul Adah has been received with great excitement by his party, the All Progressives Congress, APC.

Hon. Adah over the weekend officially declared his intention to contest the 2019 gubernatorial election under the platform of the APC to leaders of his party from the Southern Senatorial District of the state.

Adah who took his consultation to the Ogoja local government chapter of APC yesterday was received with great excitement by his party faithfuls.

Speaking, the Ogoja chapter Chairman of APC, Joseph Ukpo said that the party was pleased that Hon Adah, an eminent leader from the north was running for the governorship election.

While calling on party faithfuls across the state to work in unity to remove Gov Ayade come 2019, he said that the only thing the APC owe Cross Riverians was to ensure the Governor does not return to power in 2019.

Other stakeholders who reacted to his declaration described him as a leader with impeccable character and goodwill to rescue the state in 2019.

One of the Chieftains of the party, Chief Ray Ugba Morphy who said he was throwing his support behind Hon. Adah's ambition described him as a consistent and dependable leader.

Earlier, the former NDDC boss who is also a two times member of the House of Representatives said that it was pertinent for him to return home to officially inform his people of his intention to serve as the Governor.

He said that "Ogoja is my home. I Schooled locally in St. Ben's Primary School and my secondary education was in Mary knoll College Ogoja before heading to University of Calabar for my first and second degrees. I worked and lived in Ogoja for more than twenty years. So I decided to come home today to officially inform my people that I  have offered myself for service as Governor and will do four years to complete the eight years tenure of the north.

Continuing he said that, "I'm coming out to contest this election because I believe our people deserve something better. My administration will end discrimination and segregation among appointees, Restore dignity in the service, pay gratuity, leave grants, DTA and other basic entitlements.

"We will embark on serious infrastructural development.  We won't lie to our people or deceive them like what we have now. For instance, the present government want to build a rice processing plant in Ogoja but I can tell you that it is one of the many frauds of the Ayade's government. Ayade's target is to produce Ayade rice from the factory. This is why there is no rice farm in d whole state despite the billions from the Federal government to support rice farming.

I want to call on all the APC leaders and well meaning Cross Riverians to unite and work assiduously to sweep Ayade away come 2019".
