BREAKING : Drama As APC NEC Stop Etim John From Holding Meeting

There's a dramatic turn of events in the crisis brewing in the Cross River Chapter of the All Progressive Congress, APC as the  National leadership of the party has warned Etim John, a factional State Chairman of the party against convening any meeting in the capacity of a state Chairman.

Recall that on February 24, a faction of the party loyal to the Minster of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Uguru allegedly sponsored a congress that Etim John was elected Chairman.

The Congress has however been dismissed by some APC members in the state who insist that it was illegal citing a court injunction stopping the exercise as a reason.

In a letter by the National Vice Chairman, South South, Ntufam Hilliard Eta and addressed to the state secretary, the party directed Etim not to convene any meeting in the capacity of a State Chairman pending when the matter surrounding the congress that produced him is resolved by the National Working Committee of the party.

"It has come to my attention of the intention of one Etim John to convene a meeting of the party in Cross River State in a capacity that is yet to be resolved.

Please, note that at the receipt of my memorandum on the ill-fated Congress of the the 24th February, the NWC in its regular meeting of 26th March 2018 set up a three man committee headed by Muiz Banire (SAN) to investigate and cause to a report to be submitted to the NWC, consequent upon which the NWC shall make a pronouncement on the matter.

"It is instructive therefore that all activities must cease until sauce pronouncement is made", the letter reads.

Eta added that " I am therefore in my capacity as the National Vice Chairman, South South directing the cessation of all meetings at the state level of Cross River State ".
