Ayade declares flying eagles, super falcons qualifying matches toll free

Cross River State Governor, Senator Ben Ayade has declared that matches of the supper falcons and flying eagle against their Guinea Bissau and The Gambia counterparts, slated for Sundays 20th May and 12th June respectively, would be toll free, with no gate fee required for entrance.

The Governor gave the assurance during the inauguration of a 20-man Local Organizing Committee (LOC), recently in Calabar.

He explained that despite the revenue implication on the State, the matches would attract no fee from sports lovers from within and outside the State, for optimum support for the two National sides.

Ayade, represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Comrade Asu Okang charged the 20 man Committee, headed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Sports, Hon. Effiom Effiwatt, to leverage on the toll free nature of the matches and give the event maximum publicity.

While charging them to ensure a hitch free event, he said that his expectation is to that the 10,000 capacity U. J. Esuene stadium would be filled to the brim.
