Ayadecare is another failure on arrival - APC

All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State has described the recently launched Health Insurance Scheme initiated by the Cross River State Government as another program that is bound to fail.

The party also described as a huge fraud to make  monthly deduction of N1000 from workers salary for the scheme when the scheme was actually meant to benefit them without such huge deduction.

State Publicity Secretary of the APC, Mr. Bassey Ita in a swift response to the scheme launch today by Governor Ben Ayade in Calabar said like every other project or program of the Ayade led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP government in the state, the Health Insurance Scheme otherwise tagged AyadeCare is yet another '' made-for - the - media program which has no sign of tangible results''.

He contended that '' with a paltry 4% allocation to the health sector in this year's budget, a far cry from the World Health Organization, WHO, required standard budgetary allocation of 15% to the sector, one wonders what funding measures are there to produce tangible results of the scheme ''.

The statement queried the enrollment for the scheme, the source of funding and what the sustainability would be stating that the government has no clear cut vision to transform the state.

The APC also described as fraud and injustice, the planned deduction of N1000 from workers emolument for the said scheme `when proper feasibility has not been done''.

The party however urged the Federal Government to be wary of another deception that seeks its support like the Super Highway that has failed.

APC advised Cross Riverians not to celebrate the scheme as it has the potential for failure.
