Read Chris Agara's 3rd anniversary message to Ayade

I BARR CHRIS AGARA, my family and the entire team FRESH IDEAS heartily felicitates with the digital Governor of Cross River State, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade on the occasion of his 3rd year anniversary in office.

Your Excellency, your sterling performance in the last three years has earned you several accolades and nicknames from your fans and numerous  supporters. While some call you the digital governor considering the youthful swag and energy you have brought to governance, others prefer to call you the Alert master, apparently in appreciation for the way you have religiously and consistently paid workers salary and the over 3000 political appointees your administration brought on board. But I call you the promise keeper.

Your Excellency, when you came on board, you saw the need to decouple the State from federal allocation through the building of industries that will create jobs for our youths. Three years later, I am happy to note that the State is now an industrial haven with almost every part of the State literally turning into a construction site.

From the Cross River State Garment factory that already employs more than 2000 of our people, the Calabar pharmaceutical company, the cocoa processing plant in Ikom, the toothpick factory in Ekori, the ultra-modern rice mill in Ogoja, the deep seaport project and the Rice seedling plant among several others are all eloquent testimonies of a promise kept.

This is not forgetting other critical sectors like Health, Education, Agriculture and Human development where your administration has recorded several success stories against the expectations of naysayers.

Like Shirley Chisholm rightly opined, "nobody makes progress by standing on the sidelines, whimpering and complaining. People make progress by implementing ideas." Your Excellency, today Cross River State has come this far in just three years with you on the saddle because of the brilliant ideas you brought to bare and most importantly because you deliberately decided to see possibilities where others see impossibilities.

As we match towards 2019, be rest assured of my unwavering support and that of my entire team as we remain committed to seeing you return for a second term for the overall good of Cross Riverians.
