BREAKING: First Class Traditional Ruler Blast Ayade, Says No To Reelection Bid

The Ndidem of the Qua Nation, His Royal Majesty, Patrick Oqua Agbor, has described the current administration of Senator Ben Ayade of Cross River State as “not inclusive”.

The Ndidem of the Qua Nation made his position known when a pro-Ayade group “CODE 888” paid him a courtesy visit in his palace to solicit the support of the throne of the Qua nation for the second term ambition of the Governor.

His words: “…What Ayade is doing now is just to seek for endorsement for his second term ambition in office. Ever since Liyel gave me the Staff of Office, has he cared to visit me? Or does he even know I exist? Ask the rest of the Paramount Rulers from Calabar to Bakassi to Obanliku, is it the same way he is treating us? Ayade’s Government is not inclusive…”

Barring his mind further, the King said: “The MoU that was formed does not give any Senatorial district the privilege to run for 8 years. Once a Senatorial district is given a turn, that is their turn. The second term he is looking for would be assessed based on the score card of his previous performance in office, that will determine whether he will be voted for second term or not.

“It does not mean that if it is not Ayade, another person from another Senatorial district cannot complete the projects he started and even given another 4 years opportunity, provided the person performs better, and affects the lives of Cross Riverians positively. So for you to come here and cry sympathy for Ayade, it is a waste of time. Let him know that when it comes to politics, it is his report sheet that will determine if he will get a second term or not.” He maintained.

On his part, the Coordinator of the group (Code 888) Mr. Maurice Nkong thanked the Paramount Ruler for receiving them in His Palace, despite the short notice of their visit.

Mr. Maurice solicited that the incumbent Governor Ayade should be allowed to go for a second term.

He concluded by referencing Donald Duke (South) and Liyel Imoke (Central) who did two terms and argued that so Ayade from the North should also do eight years.
