BREAKING : Achigbe emerges new C'River APC Chairman

From R-L : New APC state Chairman, Dr. Mathew Achigbe, Nigeris Ambassador to Uganda, Etubom Nya Asuqou and former Cross River State Governor, Chief Clement Ebri.

Cross River State chapter of the All Progressives Congress, APC has elected retired Permanent Secretary and University Don, Dr. Mathew Achigbe as its Chairman.

Achigbe emerged during a rescheduled state Congress which held today at the Nkonib brothers club house, Ikot Ansa, Calabar.

It will be recalled that the National Working Committee of the APC ordered fresh state congress in the state due crisis that led to the party producing two factional executives from different congresses.

Former Acting Chairman of the party, Sir John Ochalla emerged the deputy State Chairman while the Secretary, Bishop Victor Ebong was relected Secretary.
