BREAKING : Unical Finally Fires Joseph Odok

Mr. Joseph Odok, sacked Unical Lecturer

The University of Calabar has finally sacked Mr. Joseph Odok, an assistant Lecturer in the department of Philosophy.

Odok in the past one year has been suspended twice over allegation of insubordination and malicious/false publication against the University and it organs.

The University around January this year placed him on indefinite suspension. This was barely four months after he was recalled from another suspension for similar offence.

The Senior Staff Association of the University set up a disciplinary panel to try him but according to their report he failed to honour their invitation to appear before them.

Having failed to appear, the panel recommended his sack to the governing council of the varsity over allegation of insubordination and gross official misconduct which was confirmed during council meeting this afternoon.
