Ex-Reps Paul Adah Bags Obudu Chieftaincy Title

Former member of House of Representatives and a governorship aspirant of the All Progressives Congress, in Cross River State, Rt. Hon. Paul Adah has been nominated by the Paramount Ruler in conjunction with the Obudu Traditional Rulers Council for the conferment of a chieftaincy title.

The title, "Unwa Ushie of Obudu" is one of the highest Chieftaincy titles in Obudu.

Ugbe Akomaye Moses, Secretary of Obudu Traditional Rulers Council in a letter said that Adah's nomination was in recognition of his enormous contribution towards the development of Obudu.

He said that the event will hold in Obudu at a venue to be communicated the nominees later on the 5th of January 2019.

Adah and the Vice Chancellor of University of Calabar, Prof. Zana Akpagu who will honoured same day with same title will be the only people after Eugene Akeh to be honoured with the "Unwa Ushie of Obudu" title.

Reacting, Adah, also a former member, representing Cross River State in the governing Board of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) described it as a "great honour".

He said that the recognition was an indication that his people appreciate his contribution towards the development of Obudu.

According to him "For Zana, it is well deserved having touched lives in Cross River and the massive infrastructural development in Unical.

Mine is a great honour. It is an indication that my people appreciate my contribution to the development of Obudu or how else that the honour is coming 3 years after leaving public office".
