JUST IN : Obudu, Yala Plan shocking Christmas Package For Unical VC

The entire council of Chiefs of Obudu and Yala local governments of Cross River State are set to honour Prof. Zana Akpagu, Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar with what can best be described as an exciting but shocking Christmas package.

Secretary of Obudu Traditional Rulers Council, Ugbe Akomaye Moses in a letter addressed to the VC revealed that the Paramount Ruler of Obudu and his council Chiefs have concluded plans to host Akpagu on the 5th of January, 2019.

Ugbe disclosed that the VC will be conferred with the prestigious "Unwa Ushie of Obudu" Chieftaincy title.

He said in the letter that the honour which is one of it kind in the history of Obudu was in recognition of Prof. Akpagu's enormous achievements since assuming office as the first Vice Chancellor of the University from the northern part of the state.

In a related development, the Yala Paramount Ruler and his council of Chiefs have also disclosed plans to confer a highly respected Chieftaincy title on the multiple award winning VC.

The event which is in conjunction with the YPU and Ayi Yala, Unical branch will hold in the famous Mary Knoll College, Okuku, 30th of December 2018.

The invitation card sighted by our reporter indicates that the function will be Chaired by Chief&Mrs Ohiero.
