Etung APC vs PDP - Ayade visits victims, says politics not a do or die affair

Cross River State Governor, Sen. Ben Ayade has condemned the recent violent clash between supporters of the ruling People's Democratic Party, PDP and the major opposition All Progressives Congress, APC in Etome, Etung local government are of the state.

Ayade who announced on his twitter handle @Senatorbenayade that he visited victims of the attack yesterday in an unnamed hospital where they are currently receiving treatment enjoined politicians to play politics with ethics as it was not a do or die affair.

According to him, "I just visited Mr. Amba Achima, PDP Chapter Secretary for Etung LGA and Mr. Ikpa Joseph Ulebkong, victims of the Etung violence.

I've always been an advocate of Politics with ethics. Its important we understand politics is not a "do or die" affair"

It will be recalled that supporters of the two dominant party had a deadly clash over the weekend in Etung, the local government of origin of the APC governorship candidate, Sen. John Owan Enoh that led to the destruction of properties worth millions of naira with many sustaining several injuries.
