Senior Special Assistant on Prosecution to the President and Chairman, Special Presidential Investigation Panel on Recovery of Public Asset, (SPIP), Chief Okoi Obono Obla yesterday delivered own polling unit to President Mohammadu Buhari and other national assembly candidates of APC.

In the final results announced by the INEC collation officer for Chief Obla's Ijiman ward in Yakurr local government area of Cross River State, APC pulled a total of 2404 against PDP's 2150 for the Presidential election.

For Senate, APC  scored 1181,  PDP, 1019 and for house of representatives, APC scored 2445 while PDP had 2150.

Reacting to the results in a Facebook post, Obono-obla however accused the PDP of vote buying, intimidation and harassment of voters.

He said that “Despite the lawlessness, violence , intimidation and vote buying perpetrated by PDP against us in the 23 February 2019, presidential and National Assembly elections in Ugep, Yakurr Local Government Area of Cross River State, we kept faith and won in my Ward – Ijiman Ward convincingly.

“This is the first time since 1999 my people votes will count in an election. Thanks to the transparency of the indefatigable President Muhammadu Buhari".

He also accused PDP of sponsoring attack on a Chieftain of APC Chief Utum Eteng in Yakur.

“My heart and prayers are for Chief , Barrister Utum Eteng who was brutally assaulted and beaten and almost stripped naked by hooligans recruited by PDP in Biko-Biko Ward of Ugep when they saw defeat staring them. I wish him a speedy recovery. It is sheer bestiality for such a distinguished gentle man to be so dehumanized because some people want to subvert the will of the people”, he said.
