APC not challenging Ayade's victory in court, Ochala is impersonating- Etim

Factional Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC in Cross River State, Ntufam Etim John has said that the March 9 governorship and state assembly elections in the state were generally credible and peaceful.

In an exclusive chat with Fearless Reports, Etim said that the APC is satisfied with the process and victory of Governor Ben Ayade of the People's Democratic Party, PDP.

Etim was reacting to an earlier statement issued by Sir John Ochala, the Acting Chairman of the faction loyal to Sen. John Owan that the party was heading to court to challenge the election results in the state.

He threatened to arrest Ochala for impersonating him as APC Chairman in the state.

According to him "PDP has won and that's it. We accept the results; we're not going to challenge the election results in court.

"Ochala is not the state Chairman of APC in Cross River State, he can't speak for the party. I've been acting nice with him but if he doesn't stop parading himself as Chairman and impersonating me, I'll arrest him.

"Like I said, there's no decision yet by the party to challenge the election results in court, PDP has won, full stop".
