FRSC gets new Spokesman in Cross River

Assistant Route Commander Esuku  E. Ikpi, new state Public Relations Officer, PRO of FRSC in Cross River State

The Sector Commander of the  Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Cross River State Command, Corp Commander Chidiebere Benjamin Nkwonta has approved the  appointment of Assistant Route Commander Esuku  E. Ikpi as the new state Public Relations Officer, PRO.

Ikpi whose appointment was with effect from April this year succeeded the former PRO, Mr. Godsgift Uwen who recently resigned voluntary.

Reacting to his new appointment, Ikpi promised to establish a robust relationship between the corps and the public in order to ensure the road remain safe.

He siad that "Part of my job function is sensitize the motoring public on the proper use of the road. Not forgetting that, the establishment of FRSC was a demonstration of government commitment to stem the frequency of the occurrence of road traffic crashes as well as reduce the rate of injuries and fatalities resulting from such crashes".

Continuing, he added that "I will initiate public enlightenment strategies that is needed to create awareness on the dangers of road traffic rules violation and the need for the motoring public to imbide a safer road use culture".

The new PRO is a graduate of Mass Communication from the Cross River University of Technology, CRUTECH. He joined the Corps in 2015 and until his appointment, he was the Corp's assistant state PRO.
