JUST IN : Ekpang Re-appointed Head of Mass Comm, Unical

Dr. Joseph Ekpang, HOD, Mass Communication and Digital Media, Unical

The tenure of the pioneer Acting Head of Department of Mass Communication and Digital Media, University of Calabar, Dr. Joseph Ekpang has been extended by two years.

This was contained in a letter from the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu, dated May 10, 2019 and addressed to Dr. Ekpang.

Ekpang's tenure which started in June 1, 2017 was due to expire on May 31st, 2019 when he would have completed two years in office.

But in recognition of his sterling performance, the Vice Chancellor has decided to reappoint him for another tenure of two years.

According to the letter, "I write to approve the extension of your appointment as Acting Head, Department of Mass Communication and Digital Media, University of Calabar. The extension is for a period of two (2) years with effect from 1st June, 2019".

The letter added that "By this extension, you are expected to continue to apply your wealth of experience in the discharge of your duties as well as effective administration of the department for its optimal productivity".
