BREAKING : Again, Unical suspends two students over cultism

Not relenting in his desire to rid the University of Calabar of every relic of social vices common among students, the Institution's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu has again approved the immediate suspension from studies, two students allegedly involved in cases related to cultism and robbery.

In a statement signed by the University Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang, one of the students, Ikpeme Kingsley Nnamdi, a 4th-year student of Medicine and Surgery with Matric No: 15/051146045 is said to be involved in a case of Unlawful Possession of Firearms, Hard Drugs and, Cultism.

Similarly, the other, Okafor Felix Chika, a 2nd-year student of Agricultural Economics and Extension with Matric No: 17/011145074 is said to have been involved in a case of Robbery.

The release states that both students are to stay away from the University while preparing to appear before the Students Disciplinary Committee for further investigation.

Consequently, the respective Deans and Heads of Departments have been directed to ensure full compliance with the directives.
