Prof. John Undie

Popular Professor in the department of Educational Management and Administration, University of Calabar, Prof. Undie John has been appointed as the University New Director of Academic Planning.

The appointment which was contained in release issued by the Registrar, Mr. Moses Abang indicated that the Vice Chancellor, Prof. Zana Akpagu appointed Undie along with with other Directors and Deputy Directors in what has been described as a major shake up in the University.

Among the new Directors are "Prof John Undie who takes over as the Director of Academic Planning, Prof Takim Ojua (Servicom), and Dr Isaac Ubi (Institute of Education)".

 Newly appointed Deputy Directors in the list include Dr (Mrs) Veronica Odey (Bassey Andah Institute for African and Asian Studies), Dr Moses Agana (Information and Communication Technology),  Engr. Adeniyi Daodu (Dep Dir of Works-Mechanical) and Dr Emmanuel Effa, Farm Manager and Managing Director, UNICAL Allied Industries Ltd.

Reacting to his appointment, Prof Undie who took to his Facebook page to thank the VC for entrusting him with the huge task pledged to do his best to live up to the required expectations.

He said that "l thank you all for your kind words arising from my recent appointment as Director of Academic Planning and Control of the University of  Calabar. Am indeed  grateful to my Boss, the Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar,  Professor Zana I, Akpagu for this consideration. 

"I therefore promise to bring my humble experience to bear in the discharge of this new assignment and live up to the  expectations of the office which ofcourse is an approximate reciprocal of the justification  of the trust and confidence that  Mr Vice Chancellor  reposed in me".
